Ralph Hills
March 24, 2023
In preparation for AML World Awareness Day 2023, Know AML spoke to Ralph Hills, a Know AML ambassador who was diagnosed with AML 9 years ago.
Ralph discusses the three things he would tell a person who just yesterday learned of an AML diagnosis. He advises to firstly, visit a Know AML specialist, secondly, undergo mutation testing, and lastly, be hopeful. Ralph also reflects on how it felt when he learned of an AML diagnosis, “the first thing is tears, worry, and fear,” but 9 years on, he hopes his journey provides some encouragement and optimism.
