September 18, 2020

Dorcas Hills cared for her husband, Ralph, when he was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in 2014. During Blood Cancer Awareness Month, we asked Dorcas, What adjustments did you have to make at home to accommodate being a carer? In this video, Dorcas explains important hygiene regiments, such as visitors having to wash their hands and change their clothes when coming into contact with Ralph. She also describes the contents of an emergency bag in case Ralph needed to be taken to the hospital swiftly.
