Anna Mamwell
November 27, 2020
During Blood Cancer Awareness Month, Know AML spoke to Anna Mamwell, a patient in remission. We asked, If you are still immunocompromised, how did you manage to self-isolate or 'shield' during the COVID-19 outbreak? In this video, Anna describes the support she received from social media groups and forums with other people who were shielding, and also the support of family and friends. She highlights the importance of getting advice directly from your clinician on what to do with regards to shielding, as there can be conflicting advice surrounding the current pandemic.
